Hi, I’m Kim.

“I work with the voice. In my program, you’ll learn how to develop a stronger and richer vocal tone, but not just that. I help you find your voice, express it creatively and confidently to the world, and use it to discover more about yourself. It’s about using your voice for personal growth.”

WHO AM I?

My world changed when I learned the power of expressing what is true to me to the world, even when it’s hard. It made my relationships deeper, my singing more beautiful, my speaking more moving, and gave me the power to get what I want and need and say “no” to what I don’t. It’s also helped me be more vulnerable when I don’t feel good and reach out for the support I need. I feel fuller, happier, more open and more supported by and connected to the people around me.

I’m still on this journey of discovering my own voice, and I probably always will be! It’s been the most rewarding work I have done, and my process has involved a mix of the different things I’ve learned so far in life. Combining my classical singing and speech and drama training, my training in trauma release, breathwork and consent and several years’ experience as a workshop leader, I began teaching workshops in Stockholm in 2017. I worked with groups in an experimental way (consensually) over 3 years, designing tools and games to put the work I was doing with my own voice into teachings that I could pass on to others.

These teachings, along with others I have learned from other Voicework practitioners, have become the Amplify program, and I continue to add new tools and exercises to the work. I’m committed to learning constantly and bringing new knowledge into my offerings, so I am in education of some kind at most times. Find out more about my 4-month online program here.

WHAT IS AMPLIFY?

Amplify is a 4-month online program to transform the way you show up in the world.

If you struggle to speak up and take space, you are not alone.

And there are tools available to help you put a stop to people-pleasing, take more space and set better boundaries.

You get to feel free to live the life YOU want to, not the one dictated by other people’s expectations. You get to feel safe to stop playing small and take the space you deserve.

Let’s show this beautiful world ALL of you. No more holding back.
It’s your time!

Amplify guides you through 4 broad milestones that I’ve found to be fundamental to addressing challenges around speaking your truth.

1) Befriend your voice

Tuning in and getting a deep knowledge of yourself and your inner world. To speak up and advocate for ourselves we need to be clear on what it is we like & don’t like, what we want, what we need.

Getting deeply in touch with how we feel provides us with that clarity. This stage is all about developing a strong sense of self and knowing exactly where our boundaries lie!

I use vocal tools and exercises for this, so you’re developing your vocal strength and tone at the same time.

Main tools used at this stage:

  • Technical vocal training on voicing in a safe and supported way

  • Develop your personalized vocal mindfulness practice that allows you to:

    • Get in touch with your emotions

    • Use your voice as a tool for relaxation! (This is going to be extremely handy later on! Speaking up can be very scary! But even in the act of speaking up, we can call on the relaxing qualities of the voice)

    • You’ll continue this practice through the program and beyond, and I will keep adding to yours throughout the program based on your needs and progress.

2) Tame your inner critic

Examining and transforming the beliefs and patterns that are holding you back from using your voice freely.

Our prime targets: the inner critic and the inner nay-sayer! It’s time to pull back the layers and see them for the vulnerable and frightened beings they really are.

We’ll get real on what’s actually holding you back from embodying your inner badass and I’ll give you tools that help you stay super aware of what’s going on when old patterns surface and know how to deal with them. We are continuing to use tools and exercises that use your voice.

Main tools used at this stage:

  • Inquiry

  • Improv

  • A powerful combination of visualization and Emotive-Expressive vocalisation that has helped me and my clients shift our thinking and transform belief structures in a very fast and effective way.

3) Express your true self

Learn tools for expressing yourself in a way that’s clear, confident and vulnerable and practise them with me.

A core principle of this stage is my belief that the best way to work on the voice is by finding a balance between power and expression.

Let me explain. I can train my voice, make it really strong and supported, with an even tone, and very good at producing a certain sound. But, if I put too much power into my voice, I might cover over too much of what makes it beautiful. I think that a beautiful voice is a voice that makes us feel something, whether it’s something sweet and tender, or painful, sad or dark. And if I want my voice to make somebody feel something, then I also need to be feeling that thing when I use my voice.

When we feel something, there are changes in the micro-muscles in the face and in the whole body, and because the voice is made by echoing and resounding around different parts of the body, these changes affect how the voice sounds.

They sound like little imperfections, breaks, swells and quivers that let the voice paint the emotion as someone hears it.

Amplify is about discovering all of those different colours of expression in your voice, and learning how to strengthen and support the voice enough to express them confidently to the world. To do that, we need to train the voice to be more powerful and supported while staying connected to what we really want to express.

We brainstorm and prep for any challenges you foresee in taking this out into your life.

Main tools used at this stage:

  • Authentic relating

  • Self-regulation

  • Emotive-expressive vocalisation

4) Speak up and out

It’s time to take your self-knowledge and tools for authentic expression out into your life.

It might sound scary now, but you’ll be feeling differently about it by this point.

And I’ll be there with you every step of the way!

Our 1:1’s will cover whatever you bring back to the container from your experiences practising speaking up in the world and your personalised practise videos will support you through the weeks.

WHO IS AMPLIFY FOR?

Quite generally, Amplify is for you if you feel that your voice is not quite there when you need it, in the way that you need it.

Read testimonials on Trustpilot

For example, perhaps you:

  • Feel shy to sing around other people

  • Feel shy to speak up or take space in social settings

  • Feel constantly drained and stretched from meeting other people’s demands

  • Avoid hard conversations

Most importantly, you are someone who is READY to go all-in and do the (fun!) work to shift this, for good.

    This is your time!
You get to feel free to live the life YOU want to, not the one dictated by other people’s expectations. You get to feel safe to stop playing small and take the space you deserve.

Let’s show this beautiful world ALL of you. No more holding back.

  • Want to be more assertive or a stronger leader

  • Experience a lot of stress when using your voice

  • Worry you sound inauthentic because you struggle to feel what you say or express yourself in a heartfelt way

  • Have trouble connecting to your emotions

  • Feel resentful doing things for others because it’s hard to say “no”

  • Lose yourself in your relationships

  • Go against your true self in order to avoid conflicts or “fit in”

  • Feel like people take advantage of your niceness

“Know that your voice is there
when you need it most.”
